TRSE (Turbo rascal syntax error) is an all-in-one development environment designed for creating games and applications for retro computers and consoles, such as the Commodore 64, Amiga, NES, and more.

It supports multiple programming languages, includes built-in tools like sprite and map editors, and lets you build and test your code in real time — making retro game development fast, fun, and accessible. In this workshop we are going to use the turbo rascal programming language, which is a dialect of pascal.
